We specialize in providing peace of mind to those who own a property on the island and use it as a vacation rental through VRBO, Airbnb, or similar yet are not here to look after their property and/or guests.  This is our Full Service Level Option, which includes maintenance and guest care on a 24 hour basis, for starters.  We offer flat rates based on a property visit and short consultation.

A La Carte

Getting to know our island neighbors, we realized that many of them are seeking maintenance or handyman assistance at their home but do not require full time personnel.  For these folks, we offer an A La Carte Service Level Option which allows our neighbors to customize their service level plan from a comprehensive list of our services.  This service level is also appealing to those who rent their property to vacationers yet are not certain that they need the Full Service Level.  Rates are listed herein however are flexible based on property size and special requests.

Prior to purchasing our first vacation rental home on Anna Maria Island, we looked at many different properties with our realtor. On our first visit to our eventual new home, we immediately noticed the personal touch and attention to detail paid by the property management team. Our comment on that first visit was, “Whoever is managing this property is who we want to manage whichever property we ultimately purchase.” The house and property both looked impeccable and we were so impressed!

After beginning our relationship under normal circumstances, 2020 brought us a pandemic and a moratorium on short-term rentals. We were all subjected to COVID-19 and the challenges it presented to property owners, management teams and potential guests. From the start, Goose and Dan were actively reviewing both state and local guidelines to be sure that we were adhering to the latest regulations and requirements. They were in constant contact with us, providing us with any and all relevant information we needed to ensure we were making the correct and best decisions for our guests.

Given the consistent positive feedback from guests regarding everything from being greeted shortly after arrival to being so prompt in responding to anything needing to be addressed during their stay, we firmly believe that hiring the right property management team is just as important as purchasing the right property. I bought my home on North Shore Drive two years ago but due a long term out of town family caretaking situation not much got done. I posted on Next Door Anna Maria last Spring looking for someone local to help me keep the horribly ragged, half dead yard weeds and overgrowth from overtaking the house. Someone I didn’t even know sent me Dan and Goose’s number and I called. Dan came by and had a look. I later learned Dan and Goose are exactly the good neighbors they appeared to be. My yard now has lots of green and constantly blooming flowers requiring minor maintenance and very little front end expenditure. He puts in plants, connects temporary irrigation on timers then moves it on to the next spot we want to tackle once a bed or area is established. Neighbors and friends wonder why my house always looks beautiful yet I never have truck loads of high priced loud leaf blowing yard guys in big trucks and trailers blocking the road here. It’s because Goose and Gander is old school. They are very high on customer service and consideration and very low on noise and non performance. They show up happy, get ‘er done and leave you smiling at the price and the result. They are always available to help and that brings me peace of mind. The island is around 7 miles long (north to south) and about a mile at it’s widest point.

Shopping & Pampering

Shopping and pampering yourself on Anna Maria Island is convenient, diverse, and affordable, with most stores located in a pleasant setting in all three towns. On the North end, the city of Anna Maria has charming Pine Avenue and an assortment of clever and unique shops and restaurants between the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay.  Holmes Beach has a multitude of vintage and coastal chic shops on Marina Drive.  Bridge Street is the quaint shopping and dining area in Bradenton Beach.  All three towns have wonderful spas and pampering opportunities.

Getting Around

AMI proudly boasts the Monkey Bus (trips for tips and a little karaoke on the way) and a wonderful free trolley that travels the entire length of the island from Anna Maria City Pier to Coquina Beach with many stops to hop on or off when you see someplace fun that you may want to stop and check out.  Golf cart rental shops are plentiful and they also usually offer bicycles for rent, as well!

Dining on Anna Maria Island is fun and eclectic.  All restaurants are coastal casual – you will see diners in swimsuit coverups or cool chic attire.  Dressing down is the way of the island!  Whether it is:  grabbing a deli breakfast or lunch sandwich at the AM General Store, sit down dining at the Waterfront, snacking on a burger at Duffy’s Tavern, sipping on a beer at the “No Shower Happy Hour” at the bar at Slim’s, dining with your toes in the sand at The Sandbar, watching the fishermen reel it in while dining on mangrove snapper at the Rod & Reel Pier, or picking up some freshly caught seafood of your own from Captain Anthony, Cortez Fish Market, or Star Fish Company, you will not go hungry while visiting AMI!  Our favorite? Fishing

Anna Maria Island is a small boat fishers’ playground where you’ll find snook, sheepshead, mangrove snapper, redfish, and more. The charters are reasonably priced and there are multiple fishing piers and seven miles of beach to fish on. We love the Rod & Reel Pier!
